WELL
I recently cut my hair off and i recieved many compliments from the ladies but alot of negative thoughts from the fellas and i dont know why! Natural hair is so beautiful and i think guys dont want to accept it because its misunderstood. I didnt cut my hair off to scream "im black and im proud" although i am, i did it to have healthy hair and ultimately a healthier me! I havent stepped foot on my college campus yet which will be the ultimate test that will prove if i embrace myself for who i am or will fall to shambles because my society doesnt accept me and my new look. although im sure that wont be the case. The first day i cut my hair and put a pic on twitter [@uncut_comments] and waited for the response. i got messages askin why did i cut it off and what was wrong with me. I laughed. it tickled me! I felt like some of my girlfriends didnt care for it but they didnt want to hurt my feelings lol...but it jus takes time getting use to. I feel more beautiful than i did before and i wanted to make a statement. To who..i dont kno but my hair doesnt make me pretty..neither does the MAC i choose to wear or not. I embrace my wide nose, my big lips, my bright brown eyes and my little afro.
Sis, from what I've observed [by reading comments on videos, articles and other blogs about the natural hair movement] brothers just aren't to excited about a woman with very short hair. That's understandable. But in my opinion, anyone who looks at a healthy head of big, beautiful natural Black hair and makes a negative comment is either ignorant, envious or both. [By the way: yes, I'm a natural, too :)]

Wow! Well I Think If Women Cut Their Hair its The Perfect Time To See If The Male Species Really Likes Them For Them or How Long Their Hair is. Because when they hair is taken out of the picture it leaves other traits and attributes (or lack of) that others will recognize and get to know you for you!
